Luke's Bio
(from old forum - will be edited to suit shortly, personality and appearance and general history still applicable)
NAME: Luke Dmitry Dvorak
AGE: 13
GENDER: Male
BIRTH LOCATION: Houston, Texas, USA
OCCUPATION: Student
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
FACE CLAIM: Remy Thorne
HAIR COLOR: Dirty blonde
EYE COLOR: Blue-grey
HEIGHT: 5’3”
APPEARANCE: Luke has an angular face that still struggles with outbursts of acne, particularly on his hairline. His hair reaches to his ears and is thin and messy - he likes to rumple it as much as he can in order to create a stylish yet disheveled look. His eyes are almond shaped and are a dark blue-grey color. He has white skin, evident of his Russian/American heritage. He’s reasonably well muscled from his soccer days, and is strong enough to do hard labor (though does not do so willingly). He usually dresses in just jeans and T-shirts. He’s not a fancy dresser, and spends a maximum of 1.345 minutes on his appearance in the morning. He tosses on some clothes that smell okay, rumples his hair, and typically walks out the door.
LIKES: walking/hiking, exploring, drawing, “chill” people, having friends
DISLIKES: dumb animals, bad smells, being away from home, being alone, not having friends
STRENGTHS: Determined, smart, loyal
WEAKNESSES: Reluctant to try new things, belligerent, conflicted with being social, sarcastic
PERSONALITY: The first impression most people will probably have of Luke Dvorak is his moodiness and overall bad attitude around his current situation and surroundings. Because of his recent displacement from his home, family and friends, he’s not too happy with anyone or anything at the moment. He interacts with people out of necessity or with great reluctance.
However, if he takes a shine to you, you’ll find he’s actually a bright, humorous young man. He’ll never give up on anyone or anything that has earned his respect. The exception to this is horseback riding - the only reason he’s trying it is to prove to his parents that he can come home and has “learned his lesson,” as it were. He’s actually a pretty social person, and even with his bad attitude, he doesn’t like to be without people for any long period of time, and often will go and seek people out just so he will be in the presence of others.
OVERALL: Luke was born to Amanda and Leonid Dvorak on March 16, 2001 in Houston, Texas. Life was idyllic for a good time. Amanda was a nurse at a local hospital, and Leonid worked for an advertising firm, and both loved to ride at a local stable on the weekends. They tried to introduce their hobby to Luke, but he was always more interested in other things, such as soccer. His parents didn’t want to force their hobby onto him, so they instead encouraged his other interests. “Nothing wrong with him enjoying other things,” they said. “At least he’s interested in something.”
As Luke grew into middle school, his friends began changing and trying to seem more mature than they actually were. They bullied younger kids, spent their weekends trying to get into high schoolers’ parties, and generally caused trouble. Luke went along with them, because they told him it was fine as long as no one got hurt, and if he told, then they wouldn’t be his friend anymore. Naturally, Luke went along with them. He didn’t mind that much anyway. It was more fun than school, and besides, these were his friends. His parents showed concern, but their attempts to keep Luke at home or put him into other, safer activities (a different soccer team, for example) only made their relationship more strained.

[[When Luke reached high school, he was at mid-pack. He wasn’t doing great in school, but he wasn’t doing horrible, either. He tried enough to keep his parents and teachers off of his back, and then didn’t care at all. He enjoyed learning and going to class, but his friends didn’t, so he didn’t either. Sometimes he would go to class or do extra research for his homework just because he wanted to know more about the subject, and would tell his friends that he had a date or his parents were making him stay home and he couldn’t get away or some other excuse.
He graduated in the middle of his class. His parents were pleased, but also disappointed, knowing he hadn’t reached his full potential as a student. His father tried to encourage him to go to college, since he hadn’t had that opportunity has a poor Russian citizen when he was young, but Luke wasn’t interested. He was more content to stay and laze around at home and hang out with his friends.
One day, everything came to a head when his parents sat him down and told him that they wanted him to college. They were insisting on signing him up for a community college until he got enough credits to qualify for a better school. Luke refused, enraging his parents. They told him they knew he could do better and he didn’t, and it angered and saddened them. For an answer, Luke left the house for the night to go to a party.
At this party, his friends were smoking dope. Normally, Luke hadn’t participated, having found no desire to try drugs other than alcohol. But that night, he smoked several joints, on the one night the police busted down the door of the party and brought everything to a screeching halt.
A hefty bail fine and a night in jail later, Luke found himself at the mercy of his parents. He felt bad about getting caught (and sort of for trying the drugs and running out on his parents when they were just trying to look out for him), but that did not quell his anger when they told him they were sending him to live with his aunt and uncle in Primrose, Montana. Montana! Talk about far north for a Texas boy. Not to mention he lived in the big city of Houston, and Montana was as close to the middle of nowhere as you could get.
They told him he would be learning to ride horses, a “wholesome” activity that would keep him occupied and “out of trouble.” Luke could not find a way to express his dismay to the extent that he felt it. In dumbfounded stupor, he found himself shipped off to Primrose, Montana a few weeks later, with no idea what to do with his life now.]]
