Some of you may have heard of Geocaching, Forumcaching is a board based version of that. For those however who do not know?
Forumcaching is envisaged to be an interactive scavenger hunt, that doesn't just rely on the staff to post them up. Only registered accounts can create forum caches, this is due to them requiring shop items however ANYONE can log a visit.
When creating a new forumcache for finding please include a hint but do NOT say where it is.
A good hint for example would be: You may find this in a woodland hack
A bad hint would be: Thread titled Lulu's wrath
These caches as has been mentioned can be posted by anyone who has brought a forum cache item from the shop - these items are single use only and for now there is no way of adding on items. However it is possible in the future for members to drop off 'swag' and for other members to pick it up!
There will be post template "add ons" that you can also use to show how many caches you've planted versus found and it is also advised to use a hashtag so people can search for all caches by any alias you want to use. There will be a list of taken hashtags!
For those seeking Forumcaches you must make some reference in your post to finding the item - you must also try and do it without anyone spotting you! No you cannot make a closed thread to ensure this, threads must be open
